What's the difference between awnings and louvres?
Think of it this way: an awning is your home’s stylish, fixed protection, while a louvre system is your dynamic climate control.
Our Slimline Awnings are your always-on defence, providing permanent shade for a sun-drenched window or keeping your entryway dry during a downpour.
Our custom made aluminium louvres, on the other hand, are adjustable louvre systems that let you fine-tune your environment. You can angle the blades to block glare without losing light, or open them fully to capture the breeze and cool your space naturally.
Are your products built to handle Sydney's harsh coastal climate?
We engineer all our products for our coast climate. Our awnings and aluminium louvres are made from architectural-grade aluminium with a marine-grade powder-coated finish and stainless steel components. This means they won’t rust, warp or fade, even when they’re getting blasted with salty air on a coastal property. It’s a low-maintenance, build-it-once investment.

I need a privacy solution for an overlooked balcony. Can you help?
Absolutely, this is one of the main problems our outdoor aluminium louvres are designed to solve. We can design and manufacture fixed or adjustable privacy screens that block the view from the neighbours without turning your balcony into a dark cave. For the ultimate in flexibility, our sliding louvre panels can be moved wherever you need them.
Is it still possible to install an awning on a cladded wall?
We can! Cladded walls are a common scenario in modern builds and it’s a problem we’ve specifically engineered for. We have a couple of options for aluminium awnings designed for this exact situation.
Our Slimline 50 with Cantilever Arms is the most flexible, with brackets that are independent of the frame and can be positioned anywhere to hit the studwork behind the cladding.
What does the process of getting a custom-made system involve?
You’re buying direct from the Sydney factory floor – no salespeople, no middlemen. It starts with a simple conversation about your project. From there, we handle the custom design and fabrication. Once your system is built, we supply it directly to you, flat-packed for easy transport and ready for installation.

How long does it take to be made?
While the majority of our products have a lead time of 2 -3 weeks, production time.
Can I install them myself or do I need a professional installer?
Yes. The majority of people install, the window door awnings themselve,s we can design all brackets to suit each job.
What if I want a non standard powder coat colour?
We have a full range of Dulux powder coat colours, which can be done at an extra cost.
What are Slimline window and door awnings made from?
The slimline range has a fully welded aluminium frame, which is powder coated and then a 10 MM polycarbonate sheet is sealed on top.
What is the maximum projection and width available?
The maximum projection is 1065 MM.
Can they be custom-made to suit my exact opening?
All awnings and louvres are all custom made to suit every job and sit.
Do Slimline awnings help reduce heat and protect windows and doors from weather?
Yes. We have a range of, polycarbonate the solar opal white. And the solar platinum silver, which reduces the heat. And protect from the rain.
Can Window door awnings mounted under the eave or directly to the wall?
Yes, the slimline under Eve awning is designed specifically to mount under the eave and the brackets are mounted to the wall the awning starts at, the fascia just under the gutter.
Are installation brackets included?
We can design each awning to suit each job. We can supply and manufacture whatever is needed, for installation.
Can Slimline awnings be used over sliding doors as well as windows?
Yes, they are specifically designed for Windows and doors. We custom make them to suit each site.
Are there options for integrated gutters or water management?
The slimline Window door awnings have models where they have an integrated gutter system in it. The water can run to the front or it can be run to the side.
What information do I need to supply for a quote (measurements, photos, drawings)?
All we need to know is which particular awning you’re looking for if you’re not sure, you can always ring, we need to know the width and the projection if you have any pictures of the site.

Can the awnings be installed on brick, concrete, or timber framed walls?
Yes, we custom make each awning to suit the type of wall that you’re installing it on.
Are there council approvals required?
The majority of awnings do not need Council approval but in a lot of cases, council require an awning to be put in place. EG cantilever louvres above windows or privacy screens in front of windows.
Can louvres be custom-sized to suit my window or door dimensions?
All our louvres are custom made to suit every single site we can supply brackets.
Are the louvres fixed or adjustable (i.e. can I open/close/tilt them)?
We can make the louvre fixed or adjustable. We can make them sliding, each Louvre is custom designed to suit your site.
Do louvres help with ventilation and airflow?
Yes, louvres are regularly used where you wish to have airflow running through. If you have adjustable, they can be closed.
Can louvres reduce solar heat gain / help keep my home cooler in summer?
Yes, louvres mounted above the window or in front of windows will stop. The direct sun hitting the window, and will dramatically reduce the temperature inside.
Will louvres offer privacy while still letting light and air through?
Yes, louvres are designed as privacy screens, they are on an Angle and this allows you to see one way only. If you have an adjustable blades you can close them off or you can set the angle to any way you like.
Do louvres comply with local building standards / do they require council approvals?
Yes, we regularly use louvres for basics or for council requirements for privacy.
