Frame & Fixing Details

The Cantilever Louvre is built with fully welded aluminium arms that mount directly to the wall with a fixed wall plate. The louvre panels use either 85mm or 160mm aluminium blades, welded for strength and durability.

Designed for wall mounting, they suit brick, concrete, or timber-framed structures.

Installation Details

Cantilever Louvre Installation Instructions

The Cantilever Louvre system uses welded aluminium brackets with wall plates that bolt directly to the structure. These are fixed either through cladding into timber studs or directly into brick or concrete walls.

Fixing to Brick or Concrete Walls:
Wall plates are fixed directly to brick or concrete using masonry anchors. This creates a strong, stable fixing point for the arms and louvre panels. Always check for solid material behind rendered surfaces before installing.

Fixing to Timber-Framed Walls:
Wall plates must be fixed directly into structural studs, not wall cladding. If studs don’t align with bracket positions, additional framing may be required inside the wall. It’s best to plan bracket locations before external cladding is installed. Use heavy-duty timber screws for a secure fix.

Arm Types, Projections & Panel Sizing:

  • Up to 700mm projection: 100 × 60mm wall plate
  • Up to 1500mm projection: 200 × 100mm wall plate (10mm thick)
  • Arms are fully welded aluminium for strength and durability
  • Maximum panel width: 3000mm
  • Maximum bay width: 1500mm
  • Panels can be single or double bay, up to 3000mm total width

Powder Coating Finish

Durable, long‑lasting protection:

Powder coating forms a thick, uniform layer on the finished awning, protecting against corrosion, scratching, UV damage, and weathering

Dulux-grade quality:

We use premium Dulux powders for excellent adhesion, colour retention, and fade resistance in outdoor environments

Precision application process:

Once the awning frame is fully fabricated, it’s cleaned, prepared, then coated with electrostatically charged powder before being heat-cured to create a hard, durable finish

Superior to traditional paint:

The thicker coating resists chipping, peeling, and wear better than liquid paint — ideal for outdoor applications

Wide colour & texture options:

Choose from the full Colorbond® palette, Dulux custom colours, and a variety of finishes including gloss, satin, matte,
